Film I was editing and setting up company

I thought I put text in this post earlier but it didn't seem to appear in the end. Anyway this is a sample of a film I have been editing recently. It's called the Fare and was shot on the Canon 5D Mark II. It looks amazing and I'm excited to be editing it cos it's great for my showreel. At the moment I am also thinking of setting up a company for filming and editing actors showreels, weddings and corporate videos. I went to the Citizens Information office in town and there is an incentive where you can keep social welfare for the next number of years while setting up your business. We will see what happens.

Family Film script

I've been contacting film companies over the past week about my friend's screenplay. It was shortlisted in the Jameson film festival last year in Dublin which is a great achievement. He is not in the film industry so I have been helping him out to try to get the film made. He is a freelance write and his website is www.donalnugent.com. Some companies have gotten back to me. I will edit the film if made. Neither of us want to direct though-well actually I would love to direct but I don't think either of us have enough experience doing that. We will see.

I was also editing for a guy who is setting up a company to edit actor's showreels but he was taking advantage of my time so I told him to go stuff it. Wanna set up my own media company. We will see....

Final Cut Advanced Editing

Currently studying for Final Cut Level 2-Advanced editing. I think I know a lot of it from watching the Lynda.com videos so hope I pass. I also bought a brand ne Canon 7D with a mic and tripod so I'm psyched about that. Really need to learn it and start using it. Thinking of setting up a little business editing and filming corporate videos, showreels and wedding and stuff. Haven't used this blog in months. So much has happened. Really gotta start using it. Gonna start writing something in it every day if I can ;-)
