AutoCad/Dreamweaver
Was speaking to Kirsten today to ask if they are back at the factory and they are not. They are waiting for some surveyors or something to look the place over and hope to be back soon. In the meantime I'm studying Dreamweaver online to maybe make websites as a job or something on the side. I'm also starting the AutoCas course in Finglas tomorrow which will be a really good course I think for getting jobs. I'm half thinking of calling Ed Aldreidge about the film I called him about a couple of months ago but I would need to be in Ireland for the AutoCad course. I've put it off so many times. I shouldn't put it off again but chancing my arm at getting a role on that film would be brilliant as well...I might chance my arm yet.

Ardmore studios production week
Just found this video I thought was lost. It's a documentary a guy from my class in college made of production week in Ardmore studios. I've edited it down to about three minutes cos it's too long to upload otherwise. You'll get the idea. Enjoy! :)

Short film cancelled
So the short film I was working on as art director got cancelled. I'm mad. On another note I was speaking with Kirsten Sheridan from the factory. I asked could I email a C.V. and some examples of art work etc. and she said sure. I sent them and she liked the stuff. She said they hope to start shooting some stuff in April so there may be a job for me. I'm starting the FAS course in AutoCad on the 26th of this month as well which should be more art department qualifications. I'm also meeting social welfare on February 3rd to ask about funding for more editing courses. I hope I get it. Been calling around film productions too and everyone seems crewed up. All I can do for now.

Factory delays
I texted Kirsten a couple of days ago saying I hope to be back in the factory in a couple of days. She texted back saying she would see me Monday and that she is in Los Angeles-which I was quite impressed about. I'm thinking she is there talking film with some Hollywood types. I just texted the building manager to see if I can go to the factory today but got no reply yet. Got a text from Emily who I was working with and she said she thinks they're on hold til Monday (today being Friday). Very boring. Ah well, will all hopefully work out :-)

Art director short film
Tomorrow I have a meeting with a crew for a short film. I am art director on it. My friend Constanze is line producer and first A.D. Hope it goes well. Part of is is based in Paris. It's about a boy and girl in a relationship. It's a really nice story called 'As you Are'. Some of the crew will be going to Paris to film that part of it but I won't.

Didn't get the job
I had the interview for the production assistant job yesterday in Fastnet films. They feel I am more suited to work on a set and they are probably right. They feel I can work on some films in the factory place I was working in before Christmas so I'll most likely be heading back there. I'm sure it'll work out :-)

Production assistant interview
I got a call yesterday from Fastnet films about the interview for the production assistant position-they are back after the Christmas break-finally! I'm really happy. I saw an apartment around the corner from the factory as well yesterday. My friend and I are hoping to move into it so it looks like things are starting to work out. I'm needles to say very happy ;-)

Music video
I finally did my first proper edit. I've posted it here. It's just a mish-mash of music videos. Will have the extra footage for the archery documentary for the paralympics soon too so hope to have that finished too. Tomorrow is January 4th and everyone is back to work-including I'm presuming the film company I have the interview for. I'm nervous about the interview-that is if they get in contact at all. I'll call tehm anyway if they don't. I'm sure I'll be wanted in the factory if I don't get the job. I'm doing a course in autocad this month with FAS as well which will come in seriously handy if I am a set designer for any films. That's about it right now.
